Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - The Calgary Flames announced Tuesday that goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff has a slight Grade 2 MCL sprain and is expected to miss another two weeks.

Kiprusoff appeared to suffer the injury during a Feb. 5 game against Detroit. The 36-year-old is 2-3-2 with a 3.24 GAA in seven games this season.

Leland Irving will continue to play in place of Kiprusoff.

"I really like what Leland has done," Calgary general manager Jay Feaster said of Irving, who is 1-1-1 with a 2.62 GAA in four games this season.

On Monday, the Flames claimed goaltender Joey MacDonald off waivers from the Detroit Red Wings. He went 8-5-1 in 14 games last season for Detroit with a 2.16 GAA and a .912 save percentage.
