Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer left in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers with a rib injury.

Palmer suffered the injury after receiving a vicious blindside hit from Greg Hardy. Palmer rolled out to his right, then eluded a defender before he was wiped out by Hardy, who was flagged for roughing the passer on the play.

Palmer was replaced by Matt Leinart and is questionable to return.
