Recap: Richmond vs. George Washington
Richmond, VA (Sports Network) - Cedrick Lindsay recorded a game-high 19 points as the Richmond Spiders defeated the George Washington Colonials, 73-64, in Atlantic 10 Conference action at the Robins Center.
Greg Robbins contributed 15 points for the Spiders (17-11, 7-6 A-10). Darien Brothers added 12 points, four rebounds and three assists as Richmond moved to a three-game win streak.
For the Colonials (12-14, 6-7), Kevin Larsen chipped in 16 points and five boards. Kethan Savage posted 12 points as George Washington lost for a second time in a row.
The first half ended with both teams even at 36-36. Richmond was held to a mere 3-of-10 beyond the arc, while George Washington was held to a meager 1- of-4 on its long-range attempts.
In the second stanza, George Washington continued to struggle outside the arc, making 0-of-2. Richmond knocked down 5-of-11 3-pointers, en route to the nine- point victory.
Richmond forced 22 turnovers and held the visitors to a mere 1-of-6 efficiency from beyond the arc on the night.
