Recap: Loyola-Maryland vs. Boston Univ

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Robert Olson scored 17 points as the Loyola- Maryland Greyhounds ran away from the Boston University Terriers 69-56 in a BracketBuster event at Reitz Arena.

Dylon Cormier finished with 14 points, Justin Drummond put in 12 off the bench and Erik Etherly had 11 points to go with six rebounds for Loyola-Maryland (20-7). The Greyhounds had lost consecutive games entering play.

Darryl Partin had 17 points to lead Boston University (14-15) which also got 16 from D.J. Irving. The Terriers have now lost back-to-back games after a three game winning streak.

Loyola-Maryland struggled to a 29-28 lead at the half by shooting just 34.5 percent from the floor which was better than the paltry 30.8 percent of Boston University.

The Greyhounds woke up in the second half and shot a scorching 71.4 percent including nailing 4-of-5 from beyond the arc while the Terriers fell behind at 40.6 percent shooting to allow Loyola-Maryland the double digit victory.

Loyola-Maryland held a slim 36-34 margin on the boards and converted 18 Terrier turnovers into 23 points. The Greyhounds' bench netted 16 points while its counterpart was held scoreless.
