Recap: Air Force vs. Colorado State

USAFA, CO (Sports Network) - Wes Eikmeier scored 23 points to lead the Colorado State Rams to a 75-65 win over the Air Force Falcons in a Mountain West Conference regular-season windup at Clune Arena.

Dorian Green scored 16 points for the Rams (19-10, 8-6 Mountain West), who have won four of their last five. Greg Smith grabbed seven rebounds.

Michael Lyons scored 18 points for the Falcons (13-15, 3-11), who have lost four straight. Mike Fitzgerald added 16 points. Shawn Hempsey and Todd Fletcher each collected six rebounds.

Colorado State was up by 11 at one stage of the first half and was up 37-34 at halftime after shooting 53.6 from the floor. Air Force did even better, shooting 54.5 percent from the floor, including 8-of-11 from long range.

Air Force led briefly with 13:09 left in the game but the Rams stayed hot, shooting 55 percent from the field after halftime.

Air Force announced on Saturday that Dave Pilipovich, who had been the interim coach since Feb. 8, has agreed to become the Falcons' head coach on a permanent basis. Pilipovich completed the regular season with a 2-5 mark.
