Recap: Wake Forest vs. Boston College

Winston-Salem, NC (Sports Network) - C.J. Harris poured in a game-high 23 points and Travis McKie scored 21 for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, who rolled to an 85-56 rout over Boston College in Atlantic Coast Conference action at Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

Harris did his damage on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, while McKie shot 7-for-11 and grabbed six rebounds. Carson Desrosiers added 13 points and seven boards off the bench for the Demon Deacons (13-15, 4-10 ACC), who certainly did not look like the same team that had dropped seven of its previous eight games entering today's contest.

The Eagles (8-20, 3-11) remain winless on the road this season (0-8), despite 18 points and nine rebounds from Ryan Anderson, who shot 8-of-11 from the floor but went just 2-of-9 at the foul line. Lonnie Jackson joined him in double figures with 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting.

The teams went back and forth throughout the first 12 minutes, but Wake Forest went on a 16-4 spurt late in the opening period to take a 38-29 lead into the half.

The Demon Deacons turned up the pressure in the second stanza, shooting 53.3 percent from the floor and knocking down 5-of-8 three-pointers (.625) to take control.

Wake Forest committed only seven turnovers for the game, as it held a decisive 22-7 edge in points off turnovers. The 29-point margin marked the Demon Deacons' biggest win under second-year head coach Jeff Bzdelik. It was also their biggest win over BC in program history.
