WICHITA (FoxKansas.com) -- Police were searching Monday for a man who stole a car from a Wichita auto dealership on the pretext of taking the vehicle for a test drive.
Authorities said the man drove a 2008 Chevrolet Impala off the lot of Approved Auto Sales on Oct. 9 after inquiring about buying the vehicle. The suspect presented a stolen driver's license to dealership worker before fleeing for the car lot, police said.
The case is similar to four other incidents that have been reported and police are trying to determine if they are connected.
The car had a dealer tag license of D2651AM. Anyone with information was asked to call police at 316-267-2111.
Police said the man has a distinct tattoo on his left forearm of a baby or child.
