WICHITA (FoxKansas.com) -- Perry Ellis, a star basketball player from Wichita Heights, has made it official: He has signed and returned a letter of intent to be part of the 2012 Kansas basketball team, according to a published report.
The Website for The Wichita Eagle reported Wednesday that the school received a faxed letter of intent from Ellis recently, signaling his commitment to the team. Ellis is the school's first signing for the 2012 class, the Eagle reported.
Ellis was a highly sought after recruit and had considered several schools but eventually chose KU.
