WICHITA (FoxKansas.com) -- Police arrested two teenagers during a weekend burglary at West High School, authorities said.
The identities of the 15-year-old boys were not released because they are juveniles but authorities said one of the boys attends West High and the the other attends South High. They were taken to a juvenile detention center although it was not immediately clear what charges the youngsters would face.
Police said the teens broke a window before entering the school around 6 pm on Saturday. The broken window activated a silent alarm that summoned police to the school, located in the 800 block of S. Osage.
The youngsters were apprehended when they tried to leave the building. Police said they were caught with a garbage bag full of chips and candy from a school vending machine.
