Buying products made closer to where you live helps reduce carbon emissions that are created when items are shipped.

 

A five-pound package shipped by air across the country creates about 12 pounds of CO2 and 3 ½ pounds if shipped by truck. Buying local products also helps out by keeping money in your community.
