WICHITA (FoxKansas.com) -- A local group in Wichita plans to participate this weekend in a simultaneous dance flash mob, an attempt to set a new world record.

The event is scheduled to occur Saturday, April 21 at 2 pm at Sedgwick County Park, inside the Great Plains Renaissance Festival. Organizers said the event will be near the entrance to the park and is open to anyone who wants to join in.

The featured dance during the flash mob will be "The Carlton," a wild, frenetic dance move created by actor Alfonso Ribeiro during his days on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," in which he played preppie Carlton Banks.

Organizers have created a Website that has more info on the event and has steps for those who want to learn the dance. Click here for the site.
