FOXKANSAS.com -- Police have ruled that a woman who was found dead at a west side motel Friday night shot and killed herself.
People in the area called police Friday night around 9:30 pm after hearing the sound of gun fire from a second-floor room at American's Best Value Inn, located near Kellogg Street and Interstate 235. When officers arrived, they found the body of the woman. She suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.
The identity of the woman was not immediately available. A motive for the shooting has not yet been released. It was not clear if the woman left a note.
