Low water pressure is a problem usually found in old homes, or Sometimes in homes located on a hill. While most homeowners wouldn't want to install an entire new system, there are a few things you can try which might improve your water pressure. First, check your main shut-off valve outside your house. If it is not opened all the way, this could be causing lower than normal pressure. Or, try replacing the aerators on your sinks. Sometimes these aerators become clogged and this can reduce the amount of pressure coming from your faucets. Beyond this, you probably should contact a plumbing professional. A plumber can help develop a sensible plan for increasing your water pressure such as, having sediment removed from the pipes by flushing out the system, or increasing the size of the water service line and water meter.
