WICHITA (FoxKansas.com) -- Firefighters on Thursday were investigating the cause of a blaze that gutted a north Wichita church.
The fire broke out around 9 pm at the church, which is attached to a home and located in the 1500 block of North St. Francis. No injuries were reported and preliminary reports indicate that the structure was empty during the blaze.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they reported thick smoke and flames shooting from the building. The damage amount from the fire was pending.
